Welcome to Just Sing – The choir where everyone’s welcome. We are a group of people who sing music from all around the world in a friendly, fun and musically rewarding atmosphere. Why not look through our site to see what we get up to.

We sing at the back of London Road Congregational church every two weeks on a Saturday from 10 am to midday. During our morning’s singing, we stop for a short refreshment break at around 11 am, to catch up on all the news/local events etc.

Why not come and join us.

our next session is saturday 4th May, 10am-12pm. new members are always welcome!
See you all then!

Future sessions will then be every two weeks going forward.

There are no auditions, you can just turn up. Entrance is free, but there is a suggested donation of £5.00, should you wish to contribute. This will include a free hot or cold drink as well. The aim of the choir is to be totally inclusive, so if you can’t pay, for whatever reason, then no problem. Please just get in touch via the contact page should you require any further information.

Tuesday 4th July 2023:

So today in Newark, General Wladyslaw Sikorski was celebrated. This evening Just Sing and The Barnby Road Chamber Choir sang a specially commissioned song about the amazing and courageous Polish woman Irena Sendler, at a gathering of both British and Polish dignataries. It was over in the blink of an eye but we received a standing ovation. It was very moving. Well done to all the singers, definitely one to remember! And a huge thank you to Peter Higgins.

This morning we were joined by Caroline and Shirley, the people behind our new song about the inspirational Irena Sendler.
Hearing them talk about Irena gave us fresh perspective and heart. Very excitingly the song will be recorded later in the year.
There is a tribute to Irena just across the road from where we rehearse and more information about this truly inspirational woman can be found here: https://irenasendler.org/

What an amazing story to focus on in the week of International Women’s Day ♀️
